Hi art appreciators, here's somethin to share in this scribble. This dormant looking man actually delivers a punch or push or something that onlookers have to complete the comic caption. That is what the comic aims to deliver, that you tell the story as you can see that the extended arm shows no end and the other side originates from without.

The powerful word scribble is actually whoosh to sound out in words presented in bold signature type of scibble to endorse and give the punch to the whole representation. Try removing it and the vitality is muted.

Don't you feel that the signature scibble tickles the serious guy who seem to smile a little or trying to let go of the sterness. Don't you also feel the straight horizontals gives speed in contrast to the wound up scribble?

How does this scribble feels? For me this is a very "stable" composition and the piece is much at rest yet motion is achieved by the wriggly scribble lines raised and arms stretched.

That's what the power of scribble can express and more interestingly when used with tonal colours a 3 dimensional image is formed that goes well with the title.

" Jumping over the moon" certainly express the anticipated mood of joy by the colors and scribbles.

This is an assignment for a catering company and the choice of an outline van that engulfs the Company's name is to convey it as the meat of the meat of all this logo.

The company's promise is put at the base as the foundation and motivation of service it has for its customers. Candidly, the promise is also the wheels and so moves its service to the clients in a few seconds represented by the 4 dots to indicate the prompt delivery.

The purpose of having thin outline for the van relatively to the meat it contains is to give feel of lightness and so swiftness of its service. The warm color of both the van and meat is to show the eager response of the catering and the warm food it always carries for the customers.

The slanted wordings also adds to the enthusiasm of service.

I have removed all the outlines of the images by changing the default line color to that of the object I created. The hat and hair are created using the regular shapes available. For the hat, it is a combination of of an oval and solid arc whereas the hair is a crescent tugged behind the hat and face and in front of the background.

This is achieved by sending the object to the back and then the same for the background. The neckline establishes the action of the man star to look forward in motion and not just stationary. Next I will need the guideline to create the eye area....after changing all the foundation colors.

This is using MS tools to create and I just use a line freeform to draw the face and upon closing the loop, the default blue appears. I then send to back an oval and choose the fill effect from centre to achieve the tonal glow and outline it with a similar harder color to make the back secure and heavy. The colors are not fixed yet and the whole Man Star is still in prototype. I have yet to conceptualized anything. I created this from point zero by doodling, which is always in my favor a great gift to start any creation. All this took a matter of single minutes. So do it easy and have fun to create the Man Star you want.....

For this music star, i shall share the final works with all instead of developing the process of creation. I just feel in a nutshell that this figure is absorbed into his music and have the grips of melodies in his fingers and the world of music at his fingertips. Though closing his eyes, he is neither lost, drifting or aloof, yet with surety, the music has kept him on his toes and the mini piano is instrumental though lacking in the rural stuff again.

Now is the action in motion after much introduction in previous post on latent, potential and accumulated energy awaiting to dissipate. The profile of a courtly knight is somehat formed with the riding stance and horse slags.
One highlight to point out is the lower limb of thick shin and calves securely locked into the toe socket housing at the front portion of the feet. The relatively bigger shin compare to the calves boost out the power generated from the horse to the horseman, uniting visually bot the rider and the ridden. More interesting things are anticipated in the next post, don't you feel?

When I juxtapose the gigantic ninja star upon the oriental roof, everything appears whimsical and out of proportion. This way of presenting the figures (ninja and house) complements one another and accentuates the presence of each. What I mean is you will focus on the ninja star more than when both are in normal proportions and you will take note more on the house because on its relative smallness than when both are in actual sizes. Now the ninja star looks more settled and because the house is in more details than the ninja star, there is a flow of intensity from the top to the bottom which creates interest and guides the viewer from looking top to bottom and back again for many times.

Now the whole figure is given an anticipated snapshot of danger approaching. Once enemy is contact
ed the figure will fire off the star in his hand and draw swiftly the sword to combat further. I am pleased with the figure so far. The tipped toe also suggests at the same time the figure is caught in a stealth act and was just about to be given the slip before being discovered.

The neatness and hence the good control of the character is portrayed well I feel in this step as composure an intangible, is realized in this artwork. BEWARE!!

Ninja Star:Step 3: Armed Him

I like this step very much because of the space left on both side of the face that create a sense of intangible orientation and dimension that is to be completed by the imagination of the viewer's mind. In this sense, everyone will have a very personal participatory response as the individual interacts with this piece all in their mind.

It is also enjoyable to view the body in a posture that is ready to deliver the weapon in a carefree manner, but this figure does emit a sense of alertness and intention to hit the target. The figure can be categorized into the interaction of 4 groups namely humps, angular cups, medium curve lines and short straight lines with spaces in between them. The arrangement is such that they end up with a square block with the center of attraction on the weapons and eyes. The balance is achieved with all the humps in the four directions and the composition is not flat overall with the 3 dimensional effect of the sword. jutting from the inward to outward plane and the arm in the foreground.

With a few strokes and a couple of dots, I form the face of the Ninja with gleaming brows and fully masked. The intense freeze creates the Ninja wanting to express what he sees, yet is not permitted to let out a single sound but to continue his mission. This is the trademark I try to portray of the Ninja who is so discipline and always put his mission in favor of his comfort or own agenda.

This gentleman is to be drawn to express the gentlemaness this marvel hero who leaves behind no shadow and serves his master and nation to the utmost all in hiddeness and great secrecy.

The path of the warrior is beginning to enfold to put this star without revealing his identity and so I make him a silent, tactical, focus, skilful and decisive figure to inform the viewers.

This is a very obvious assignment. The secrecy of the ninja, the skillful gentleman, the silent messenger, the mysterious martial arts exponent, and the first step already sets the mood for this creation. The curve brow provides a very interesting and guided start to the development of this art piece. He lools wary and alert, focus on some imminent danger or building up to spy on his target, He is cautious and on the prowl. He is sniffing danger and mitigating himself out of the risks and perils. Or he is on the gathering up of potent motives to spring a sudden prowl on his victim.

Below the white backdrop of high alarm is the dark veiled foreground of hidden and unspeakable plotting and shrewdness that accentuates the visible tension above. This time round I am tightening up my images fast. This I do by tying up in concept and literally with a tie, the neckline of the whole composition. The creation is more concrete and determined that this will be a high frontal profile and with the neckline pronounce by the tie, making the whole feel in tension and rigid. The filled coloured band across the head actually does bind and curb the unruly hair and brooding emotions of the character. The hair band can suggest some sort of training is taken up in the life of the character. Yet something is missing at this stage; this character has yet to bring out its character. The choice is not to abandon the drawing but just keep sketching and conceptualize t the same time to make this work composed and completed. This is what I always do without fail and in the next and last step, I will mould and polish this figure to be a bright star, for this how I feel about this character; aspiring and motivated.

Since you can draw two imaginary lines; one from the eyes to the mouth and another from the centre of the chin to the mouth, the viewer will be drawn to the mouth area. So make sure to make this mouth of the message you want to convey or highlight.

As one start out to for a star, things may not seem so clear. And you will have to choose from infinity the set of courses to embark that will mould you to the success.

First I start out with the brow, nose and eye with 2 strokes and a dot. You may want to make this as your own exactly, however, my advice is that you do it naturally, which will be your very own style and develop further to an icon many will recognize and identify with.

The reason for this move is a natural and instinctive one. What this move do is to set the expression in general and in essence the character, mood of the situation or environment.
